Kazakhstan, Iran discuss ways to expand transport, logistics ties

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Kazakhstan and
Iran discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation, with a
particular focus on transport and logistics ties and regional and
international issues.

This was reflected in the statement by the Kazakh MFA following
a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issagaliyev and
Iran’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ali Akbar Joukar on August 12.

According to the ministry, the sides reviewed the current state
of bilateral relations and exchanged views on prospects for further
cooperation, taking into account evolving regional conditions and
the mutual interests with Iran.

Particular attention was given to strengthening transport and
logistics cooperation and expanding practical engagement in the
sector. The sides highlighted the importance of maintaining regular
and substantive dialogue at various levels.

“The parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening
transport and logistics cooperation and expanding practical
interaction in this area,” the ministry said.

The transport agenda reflects the strategic importance of
connectivity between Central Asia and Iran, as Kazakhstan continues
to develop diversified routes for trade and transit.

The officials also exchanged views on pressing regional and
international issues, including the current situation in the Middle
East.

The meeting underscored the two countries’ interest in
maintaining political dialogue while identifying practical areas
for expanding bilateral cooperation.

The sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue regular
contacts and work toward strengthening Kazakhstan-Iran relations
across areas of mutual interest.
