At least 27 people were killed after a Russian strike hit Ukraine’s Bucha district near Kyiv, Ukrainian officials said Saturday, with dozens of homes damaged and a large fire breaking out in the area.Tymur Tkachenko, head of the regional military administration, said the attack damaged at least 50 residential buildings. The resulting blaze spread to several homes and a restaurant, he said.President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a warehouse in the village of Myla was hit and “followed by a detonation”.

He did not specify what was stored at the site but said authorities had initiated criminal proceedings over suspected official negligence.“ There are regulations in place - ammunition cannot be stored near homes or other residential areas,” Zelenskyy said.The attack came as Kyiv faced a third consecutive day of near-continuous air raids, severely disrupting daily life and economic activity in the capital.The strikes come more than four years after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.Catch the latest World News and Live updates.
