TCS iON flags ‘unknown electrical issues’ behind Jaipur NEET-PG exam outage

TCS iON on Monday said its iDZ Sitapura examination centre in Jaipur experienced internal power failures during both the NEET-PG 2026 and AIIMS CRE exams, attributing the disruptions to “unknown local electrical issues”. Venguswamy Ramaswamy, Head of iON Business Unit at TCS said expert vendor teams are working to resolve the issue urgently and that all possible measures are being taken to prevent a recurrence.TCS iON also expressed regret to candidates affected by the disruptions and said it is coordinating with the respective authorities to ensure they can complete their examinations at the earliest.The statement comes after the NEET-PG 2026 examination at the Sitapura centre was disrupted by repeated system failures, prompting protests by candidates who demanded cancellation of the exam across the country.Following the disruption, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) rescheduled the NEET-PG examination for all candidates allotted to the centre to September 5 at 3 pm.
NBEMS said details of the venue would be shared separately and revised admit cards would be issued.Candidates had earlier reported repeated system crashes during the examination. One candidate, Vishnu Sharma, said the system would run for only a few minutes before shutting down.Jaipur ADM Narendra Verma said authorities had discussed the technical failure and the centre's inability to handle the load despite repeated attempts.
