A Russian drone targeted a medical facility in the southern city of Kherson on Friday evening, Aug. 7, injuring five people, including healthcare personnel, regional authorities reported.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office stated that the unmanned aerial vehicle struck the hospital grounds at approximately 7:00 p.m. local time. Four medical workers and one police officer sustained varying degrees of injuries in the attack.

All victims received immediate medical assistance, and authorities are currently mitigating the aftermath of the strike.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Falling debris caused severe damage and ignited massive fires across 1,000 square meters in the southern Holosiivskyi district, engulfing garages in two separate locations and a non-residential building used for storing cardboard.
In the northern Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out at an enterprise facility, with initial reports indicating that fuel tanks had ignited.
The Obolonskyi fire has been extinguished, while liquidation efforts at the localized Holosiivskyi blazes are ongoing. The strikes also caused localized transport disruptions, forcing the closure of Pokilska Street and the rerouting of municipal bus services.
A recent attack on the Brovary district , northeast of the capital, killed three people, including a child, and injured three others after falling debris damaged a private home.
Earlier in the week, a massive coordinated attack on Wednesday targeting Kyiv and the surrounding region killed 17 people and wounded 44 . President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Wednesday strikes primarily targeted civilian infrastructure, including warehouses and commercial logistics facilities not linked to the war effort.
