WATCH: IDF kills Hamas-linked former senior Jenin terror cell member in West Bank vehicle strike
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the IDF for the "successful thwarting of the terrorists in Jenin" in an X/Twitter Post earlier on Friday.
The IDF carried out a targeted aerial strike on several terrorists in the West Bank area of Jenin, the military said on Friday, with a security souce saying that a terror cell leader was among those targeted.The strike targeted a vehicle carrying three terrorists.According to a security source, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) had been tracking one of the terrorists killed in the strike for some time.Intelligence indicated that he was involved in preparations for a terror attack.After “the circle was closed” on the terrorist, the decision was made to strike him from the air in order to prevent him from escaping.Shin Bet tracked terror leader prior to strikeThe terror operative tracked by the Shin Bet was identified as the head of a terrorist cell in Jenin.The other two were identified as accomplices who assisted him and attempted to advance terror plots.The cell leader was armed while traveling in the vehicle.
