UAE President calls PM Modi on birthday, discusses West Asia and bilateral ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received a telephone call from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the two leaders discussing developments in West Asia and steps to deepen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.During the call, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed birthday greetings to PM Modi, while both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and coordination to promote regional peace, security and stability, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.The two leaders also discussed new measures to further strengthen ties in energy, defence, technology, investment and health.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Grateful to my brother, the President of UAE, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his call and birthday wishes. We discussed measures to further deepen our bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and exchanged views on efforts to promote regional peace, security and stability."" The UAE President also congratulated Modi on India's successful BRICS Presidency.PM Modi also appreciated the participation of UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled in the BRICS Summit and the UAE's cooperation and partnership in achieving substantive outcomes under India's presidency.
