DVAC Raids At Former DMK Minister KN Nehru's Residence In Tamil Nadu

Authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur carried out a demolition drive against a mosque situated inside the District Magistrate collectorate office complex following court orders that rejected appeals against an earlier ruling declaring the structure illegal. The administrative action, conducted with bulldozers under heavy police deployment including Provincial Armed Constabulary forces, led to the barricading of the collectorate premises as a precautionary measure.

The demolition has triggered a political controversy in Uttar Pradesh. Opposition leaders strongly criticised the administrative action, questioning the legality and timing of the drive. A Member of Parliament was placed under house arrest at her residence to prevent travel to the site, while another parliamentarian termed the operation an infringement on constitutional norms, alleging local residents were restricted inside homes.

The administration maintained that all legal protocols and judicial parameters were adhered to during the enforcement of the court order.
