Tributes are pouring in from around the world following the death of country music icon Dolly Parton.“ After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones,” her publicist, Marcel Pariseau, said in a statement on Tuesday.The American singer-songwriter-actress-philanthropist was one of the most influential figures in country music, writing hundreds of songs and creating some of the most enduring hits in popular music, including 'Jolene', '9 to 5' and 'I Will Always Love You'.

Tributes have already begun appearing across the US.
